Sloppy.
It’s the only word describing the start to the Oklahoma State women’s basketball team’s 67-59 road loss against West Virginia on Saturday afternoon.
In the first 3:29, the teams combined for eight turnovers and two points. The Cowgirls didn’t score in the opening 4:13. OSU coach Jim Littell said the problem happened before the game.
“That was the way we practiced last night,” Littell said. “It was just a mirror image of how we practiced. So, it didn’t start with the beginning of the game. It started in our preparation.”
When OSU did score its first basket on a Kassidy De Lapp layup, it didn’t just cut into the deficit.
