Anna Gret Asi didn’t come off the bench once last season.
As the one of the team's unquestioned best players, it was easy to assume Asi would slot into the starting lineup again this season, and that held true.
For one game.
In Oklahoma State’s second game of the season, Asi came off the bench. One game later, against Texas Southern, Asi returned to the starting lineup, which caused Macey Huard, who scored 31 points in the season opener, to move to the bench.
Whether it’s Asi, Huard, Stailee Heard, or anyone else listed at guard on the OSU roster, someone is going to have to come off the bench for the Cowgirls, and only time will tell if that’s a good or bad thing.
