Cowgirls go cold in Morgantown

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Oklahoma State's women's basketball team could not overcome a tough shooting night on Wednesday, suffering a 67-58 loss at West Virginia in front of 1,119 fans inside WVU Coliseum.

The Cowgirls fell to 10-4 overall and 1-2 in Big 12 play. The Mountaineers improved to 10-4 and 1-2.

OSU was held to a just 28 percent shooting from the field.

The Cowgirls led 17-13 at the end of the first quarter behind a pair of second-chance 3-pointers from sophomores Jaden Hobbs and Vivian Gray.

OSU had as much as a nine-point lead in the second quarter before West Virginia trimmed the margin to 26-23 at the break.
