The Oklahoma State softball team claimed its first conference series sweep Saturday, beating Kansas 9-3 in Lawrence, Kansas. The win comes after a day of rest. The Cowgirls and Jayhawks rescheduled game three of the series because of inclement weather Friday.
OSU (28-11) had to battle back after it fell behind 2-0 in the first inning. The Cowgirls tied things after a pair of unearned runs from first baseman Jessi Haffner and left fielder Chelsea Alexander in the top of the second frame. The Jayhawks (25-15) got the lead again on a sacrifice fly in the third inning.
