With the loss, the Cowgirls snapped their four-year streak of season-opener victories.
The meet kicked off with horsemanship and over fences. Texas A&M (1-0) finished both events with a 3-1 score.
The Aggies never looked back. OSU was trailing 6-2 at the break and managed to score only two points on the flat.
All-American Harley Huff netted in OSU’s lone point in horsemanship with a 74-73.
