The Longhorns (34-14, 9-5 Big 12) picked up where they left off, following Friday's 11-0 victory. From the first pitch, Texas’s bats electrified the stadium with three hits and two runs in the top of the first inning.
Oklahoma State (21-30, 3-12) never led in Saturday’s tilt. Although the Cowgirls hit the ball well, totaling six hits compared to Texas’s eight, OSU never could translate hits to runs.
“We didn’t get any timely hits,” Wieligman said. “We got some hits, and just didn’t score.”
The Cowgirls’ fielding did not alleviate the deficit.
