Four members of the Oklahoma State women’s tennis team competed in the Lawrence $15K Pro Circuit last week.
The tournament kicked off with Lisa-Marie Rioux in the qualifying draw on Monday. Rioux won back-to-back matches to earn her spot in the main draw, joining fellow Cowgirls Ayumi Miyamoto, Bunyawi Thamchaiwat, Dariya Detkovskaya and volunteer assistant coach Vladica Babis.
Thamchaiwat and Miyamoto won their first matches in the main draw. Thamchaiwhat then fell to Anastasia Nefedova 6-1, 6-4, in her second match. Miyamoto defeated Sarah Lee in her first match and was then defeated by Carmen Roxana Manu 6-2, 3-6, 7-6.
