LaTashia Jones breathed a little life into the Gallagher-Iba Arena crowd when she hit a three in the fourth quarter to bring the Oklahoma State women’s basketball team within striking distance.
But, unfazed, Texas trotted down the court and quickly made a basket to silence the gym and end another OSU run.
The Cowgirls kept it close throughout, but couldn’t make enough of a push late, falling to the Longhorns 61-55 Tuesday night at GIA.
Every time OSU started to cut into No. 15 Texas’ lead, the Longhorns would respond. Following Jones’ 3-pointer to make it a three-point game with 3:34 left to play, Texas’ Danni Williams hit a jumper on the other end.
