COVID is affecting the Oklahoma State women’s basketball team before the start of the Cowgirls 2020-21 season opener at Little Rock.
The Cowgirls announced they are pausing the program’s in-person activities after three student-athletes tested positive. The people who tested positive are not experiencing severe symptoms and none have been hospitalized.
The timing of the pause has led to OSU canceling its season-opening game at Little Rock. OSU is now expected to open in Gallagher Iba Arena against Oral Roberts on Nov. 29. It is not known if the COVID tests will further impact the schedule.

As a result of the testing, the team will not meet for strength and conditioning sessions but will meet virtually.
