The Cowgirls (29-24 overall, 6-11 Big 12) will play Northwestern on Friday in the Georgia Regional at Jack Turner Stadium in Athens, Georgia.
OSU hasn't made the postseason since 2011 and looked to be rebuilding at the beginning of this season. However, a seven-game winning streak near the end of the season helped bring them back to the tournament in Coach Kenny Gajewski's first season.
Sunday's selection marks the 19th time the Cowgirls have made the tournament. Other schools in the regional are Maine and No. 1 seed Georgia. OSU is 8-4 all time against Northwestern and 2-1 against the Bulldogs while never having faced Maine.
