Lakota Beatty, who played a pivotal role in the Cowgirls’ play after the loss of Brittany Atkins, has joined Oral Roberts.
After Beatty made her announcement that she was leaving on April 14, she was being heavily recruited by the Golden Eagles, ORU Head Coach Misti Cussen said on Monday, and Wednesday, Beatty made it official.
In a statement by Cussen on ORU’s athletic page, she said she was looking forward to the 5-foot-8 guard coming to her program.
"We are very excited about Lakota joining our program," Cussen said. "We are very familiar with the Beatty family having recruited her out of high school and with her sister Ashley joining us this fall.
