Cowgirl equestrian set for home opener

Harley Huff and the OSU equestrian team will face Baylor on Saturday.

Although the Oklahoma State equestrian team lost its season opener, it looks to bounce back in a familiar place.

The No. 7 Cowgirls will saddle up for their first home meet of the season against No. 3 Baylor at 10 a.m. Saturday.

OSU (0-1) is coming off a 12-5 loss against No. 2 Texas A&M. Coach Larry Sanchez said despite the loss, the Cowgirls are more than capable of redeeming themselves.

“We have a lot of talent,” Sanchez said. “But when you make mistakes, you cannot get a win against a top, quality team.
