For the first time in six years, Oklahoma State did not appear in the preseason college baseball rankings.
On Tuesday morning, D1Baseball released its preseason Top 25 ahead of the 2024 season, and the Cowboys were not listed. It marks the first time since the 2018 season that OSU does not hold a preseason ranking.
That year, OSU finished 31-26 with a 16-8 mark in conference play, good enough for a second-place finish in the Big 12. Its season ended after a 2-2 finish in the DeLand, Florida, Regional, hosted by Stetson.
Among the Big 12 programs ranked ahead of coach Josh Holliday’s squad include TCU (5), Texas (16), Texas Tech (21) and Kansas State (24).
