Cowboys top Texas in Big 12 title game to keep season alive

OKLAHOMA CITY—Ryan Cash’s quoting of Wiz Khalifa summed up the Cowboys weekend.

“Used to not be allowed in the building, but now we on the rooftop,” Cash said.

The Oklahoma State baseball team defeated Texas 6-5 in the Big 12 tournament's championship game Sunday in the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City. The Cowboys are the first eighth-seeded team to win the tournament, and OSU only made the tournament after two clutch victories against Oklahoma eight days ago. The win also gives the Cowboys an automatic bid into an NCAA regional.

“We learned a big lesson on how to turn something around that isn’t going your way,” OSU coach Josh Holliday said.
