An unexpected hero provided the difference in the Oklahoma State baseball team’s 5-4 victory against Baylor on Friday at Allie P. Reynolds Stadium.
The No. 13 Cowboys took a one-run lead in the fifth inning and clung to the lead for the remainder of the game. Their lead was from a Max Hewitt solo home run.
It was Hewitt’s first homer for OSU (32-17, 14-9 Big 12).
The ball flew off of his bat and sailed over the left field wall with plenty of room to spare.
“I’ve been working hard on my swing and put together a good swing,” Hewitt said.
