The Cowboys were trailing on day one and took the lead on day two at the 27th annual Amer Ari Invitational in Waikoloa, Hawaii. Yet with a nine-stroke lead to begin day three, the Cowboys wasted no time lighting up the leaderboards once again.
Sophomore Viktor Hovland carded a 65, the tournament’s lowest score of the day. Thanks to his strong finish, Hovland rose from 12th to second overall and finished 12-under for the tournament.
Freshman Matthew Wolff joined Hovland in a tie for second place.
