Oklahoma State (17-8) came into Norman looking to gain some confidence and momentum following a tough weekend against Baylor and Texas Tech, but unfortunately those aspirations were shut down. The No. 29 Cowboys suffered a 4-1 defeat on Sunday at the Headington Tennis Center against the Sooners.
The Cowboys have struggled to obtain the doubles point against most of the teams in the Big 12, but they snatched the point through solid team play. Lukas Finzelberg and Jurence Mendoza defeated Jose Antonio Salazar and Nick Papac 6-3 to give Oklahoma State the advantage.
