Cowboys struggle with runners in scoring position in series finale vs. GCU

The Oklahoma State baseball team lost 4-0 in its series finale against Grand Canyon on Monday in Phoenix, giving the Antelopes the series victory.

The Cowboys (1-2) hit .100 with runners in scoring position, failing to capitalize on scoring opportunities throughout the contest. Left-hander Carson Teel (0-1) made his first start for OSU, allowing four runs, three earned, on seven hits in 5 1/3 innings.

Greg Saenz homered to lead off the third, giving GCU (2-1) an early lead. In the fifth, Griffin Barnes doubled in a run and later scored on an error, putting the Antelopes ahead 3-0.
