WACO, TX -- As the water rhythmically flowed across the Brazos River from the southeast, an early mid-20 mph wind gusted through the open end zone and into McLane Stadium.
The breeze was continuous, never allowing the waving Texas and American flags to rest atop the McLane Stadium video board. The Baylor students jumped up and down, putting out as much noise as the deceivingly-small 45,000-seat stadium could physically contain.
The Oklahoma State football team controlled its own destiny. The Cowboys held on to a three-point lead and the ball with a little over a minute and a half to go.
