One of the worst feelings for offensive linemen is seeing their quarterback get sacked.
For Johnny Wilson and Oklahoma State’s other offensive linemen, picking Taylor Cornelius up off the turf of Boone Pickens Stadium seven times was likely one of the sorest spots in the Cowboys’ 48-42 loss to Iowa State.
Entering Saturday’s game, the Cyclones had four sacks on the season. OSU leads the nation with 28 sacks, but it was the ISU defense that found success pressuring Cornelius.
“It’s not easy to play quarterback and throw the ball when you’re running for your life,” said OSU coach Mike Gundy.
