OSU wrestling coach John Smith announced Monday that Chance Marsteller and Austin Shafer will miss the remainder of the 2016 season after violating team rules.
After losing freshman Kaid Brock to a knee injury last week, OSU coach John Smith announced that two additional wrestlers have seen their last action of the 2015-16 season.
The wrestlers are 157-pound freshman Chance Marsteller and 197-pound redshirt sophomore Austin Shafer. The two Cowboys are out because they violated team rules, according to Smith.
The two had a combined record of 3-6 in dual meets this season. Schafer also lost his lone match of this year’s Southern Scuffle, falling to North Carolina’s Chip Ness.
