Cowboys lose game of inches in third consecutive loss

Andrew Rosa sprinted for the hard-hit line drive headed directly toward the gap between first and second base.

Rosa, who was playing second base, knew he wasn’t going to get to it on foot, but he did feel like he could get to it if he went airborne. So, he launched from the ground and dove for the ball, and it landed in the web of his glove. He then flipped it to the shortstop, at second base for the force-out on a runner coming from first.

For the moment, all was well.

The Oklahoma State baseball team was tied with Dallas Baptist, 1-1, in the top of the seventh inning, and Rosa had likely just saved a run by keeping the ball in the infield.
