Home course advantage finally paid off.
The Oklahoma State men’s golf team looked up at the leaders throughout the first three days of the NCAA Men’s Golf Championships, which it hosted at Karsten Creek, but the familiarity of its home course worked in its favor Monday.
Although Monday brought the tournament’s first difficult weather conditions, the Cowboys were all too accustomed to what Karsten Creek had in store for them during the final 18 holes of stroke play.
Coming into the day, the Cowboys’ lone senior Kristoffer Ventura had struggled with his home course after consistently driving into the rough, which makes it difficult to have success.
