OKLAHOMA CITY—The Cowboys’ season is not over.
The Oklahoma State baseball team entered Saturday needing two wins against Bedlam rival Oklahoma, and it got them. The Cowboys defeated OU 9-7 in the series’ first game and 5-2 in the second. The teams were originally scheduled to play a game Thursday, Friday and Saturday, but with weather delays, they got only four and a half innings in Friday before finishing the first game and playing another Saturday.
With the victories, OSU locks up the eighth and final spot in the Big 12 tournament.
“Just keep it simple,” OSU coach Josh Holliday said.
