Cowboys follow fast start to dominate memorable Bedlam victory

Fifty-six seconds was all it took to get Bedlam going the way he wanted.

Oklahoma State wrestling coach John Smith made it clear he was disappointed in his team's slow start against Wyoming on Nov. 25, but his squad started fast and bounced back with a controlling 41-2 Bedlam victory Sunday at home.

Before the crowd even had a chance to settle in, Nick Piccininni got things started at 125 pounds with a 56-second pin against OU’s Zach Atencio to put the No. 3 Cowboys up six early.

No. 4 Piccininni said he knew what he had to do to give his team the start he did.
