Oklahoma State golfer Jordan Niebrugge played his first golf tournament in his home state of Wisconsin this week.
Oklahoma State made a late push in the final round of the Erin Hills Intercollegiate shooting 7-under-par. The Cowboys ended the tournament at 11-under-par and were two shots shy of tournament champion SMU.
With the second-place finish, the Cowboys have beaten 29 teams this season, and only two teams have beaten them.
Coach Alan Bratton said the team’s greatest strength is its depth. Three Cowboys finished in the top four, but Stratton Nolen competed as an individual and his scores did not count toward the team’s overall.
