Oklahoma State's Nolan Boyd defeated No. 1 Gabe Dean against Cornell on Feb. 7 as the Cowboys dominated the Big Red 32-12.
Nolan Boyd highlighted the No. 4 Cowboys’ win over Cornell (4-5). Boyd knocked off top-ranked Gabe Dean at 184 pounds 14-9. No. 16 Boyd capitalized on a four-point near fall in the second period that gave him an 11-4 lead against the defending national champion. Boyd controlled the final period to seal the upset.
OSU (10-2) lost three matches in the dual, including the 174 pound bout in Kyle Crutchmer’s absence. Chandler Rogers replaced Crutchmer after he injured his right ankle Friday night against Oklahoma.
