For Boynton, OSU’s coach, and his team, that challenge is No. 7 Texas in the Big 12 quarterfinals at 6 p.m. Thursday, just 19 hours after Boynton spoke with the media after a defensive slugfest.
“I've got to stop talking to you guys and get some rest,” Boynton joked.
The Longhorns weren’t playing basketball at 10:30 p.m. like the Cowboys, who without guard Avery Anderson lack some depth.
That could be a disadvantage for OSU, or as some Cowboys are looking at it, a plus.
“We're coming in with a lot of momentum,” OSU guard John-Michael Wright said, “especially coming off a good defensive game.
