Oklahoma State men’s tennis coach Jay Udwadia didn’t say a word.
Sophomore Maxim Tybar showed no emotion after the first set’s tiebreaker against Pedro Alonso. Tybar walked past Udwadia toward his seat, who gave Tybar a fist bump. Udawida immediately turned away to watch Tybar’s teammate Brady Draheim on the next court.
No pep talk, just a fist bump.
Tybar returned to the court without showing any change in his body language. He then scored five unanswered points to tie the tiebreaker before taking a 8-6 victory.
“(Tybar) is a man of few words,” Udwadia said.
