One Cyclone gave OSU big problems.
Iowa State quarterback Rocco Becht completed 27 of 38 passes for 348 yards and three touchdowns en route to a 34-27 victory over OSU on Saturday in Ames. Becht, a redshirt freshman, recorded career highs in each passing category.
Coming off back-to-back losses against Iowa and Ohio, the Cyclones needed a bounce-back win to avoid holding last place in the Big-12 standings.
OSU has now lost two consecutive games despite a promising performance by Alan Bowman (23-of-48, 278 yards, two TD, two interceptions).
OSU’s defense couldn’t contain Becht, failing to record a single interception, sack, or fumble.
