Cowboys capture second victory against Wichita State this season

After four scoreless innings, Noah Sifrit made the difference.

Sifrit gave the Oklahoma State baseball team its RBI hit in a 1-0 nonconference road victory against Wichita State on Wednesday night. His fifth-inning single through the left side allowed Cade Cabbiness to score.

The Cowboys (20-11) bounced back after dropping a 2-1 Big 12 series to West Virginia during the past weekend.

Although the Shockers (18-15) outhit OSU 7-4, they couldn’t convert and left eight on base.

The Cowboys’ victory required nine pitchers. Logan Gragg had his first save at OSU and kept Wichita State from scoring in the ninth inning.
