Despite a career night from Jeffrey Carroll, Oklahoma State came up short against Texas on Wednesday night in Austin 82-79, dropping the Cowboys to 0-2 in conference play.
Carroll led the way for OSU with a career-high 24 points, but none came in the final two minutes of play as the Cowboys tried to mount a comeback run.
OSU (10-4 overall, 0-2 Big 12) entered halftime with a 39-37 lead, but a scoring outburst from Texas guard Tevin Mack and a 15-0 Longhorn run in the second half quickly turned into a 61-50 Texas lead with 11:18 to go.
