Cowboys cannot deplete Nitty Lions' lead, place second at Southern Scuffle

Going into Tuesday's finals at the Southern Scuffle, the Oklahoma State wrestling team had to overcome a 13.5 point deficit.

Although four Cowboys were victorious in the championship matches, OSU placed second in the tournament.

Redshirt junior Joe Smith was the only Cowboy to lose his championship match.

Daton Fix won an individual title at 133 with a 6-3 decision against Chance Marsteller.

Nick Piccinnini and Derek White were victorious at 125 and 285, respective.

Redshirt freshman Kaden Gfeller rounded out the Cowboys' tournament with a title at 149.

Penn State extended its lead in the finals with six titles, winning the tournament.
