Saturday, the Oklahoma State men’s basketball team overcame Wichita State’s impressive home winning streak against nonconference opponents to down the Shockers 93-76 at Intrust Bank Arena in Wichita, Kansas.
Heading into the game, Wichita State was undefeated in its past 42 chances at home against nonconference teams. OSU (9-2) didn’t get the memo, and the Shockers never led in the game.
The Cowboys jumped out to a quick 10-1 lead thanks in part to a pair of 3-pointers from senior Leyton Hammonds and sophomore Jawun Evans, which set a trend that would persist for the rest of the night.
