ORLANDO, Fla. – A long wait is nearly over.
The Oklahoma State football team takes the field for the first time in more than a month when it plays No. 22 Virginia Tech in the Camping World Bowl at 4:15 p.m. Thursday in Orlando, Florida.
The Cowboys and Hokies have played twice, splitting a home-and-home series in 1971-72, each team winning its home game. A victory would give OSU its sixth 10-win season in the past eight years.
OSU and Virginia Tech (9-3) had two common opponents: West Virginia and Pittsburgh. The Hokies beat the Mountaineers 31-24 and won 20-14 against the Panthers.
