Flowrestling reported Monday that the No. 2-ranked wrestler in the country at 152 pounds Brevin Balmeceda has Oklahoma State in his top 6. USA Today had an article in January listing OSU in his top 5, but it looks like he’s expanded it to six.
The other programs in the mix are Iowa, NC State, Rutgers, Virginia Tech, and Ohio State. Rutgers is the one program added since the USA Today article.
Physically the senior out of South Dade, Florida would be a great fit for OSU. As a 152 that wrestles up at 160 some you’d have to project him as a college 157.
