Cowboy season trending down after another loss

Bedlam was supposed to be a close game for two teams with Big 12 Championship game implications.

It was anything but a close game. The Sooners opened up a lead early, they jumped out 21-0 and didn’t look back.

OSU clawed back to make it 21-13 but couldn’t run the offense efficiently with Shane Illingworth replacing Spencer Sanders after a head injury.

“I didn't think we were gonna be able to just chuck it over the yard and win,” offensive coordinator Kasey Dunn said. “So we wanted to methodically try to get down in it and crawl back into a position where we had a chance in the second half and we did that.
