The Oklahoma State men’s golf team is heading to Houston Oaks Country Club to play in the Big 12 Match Play Tournament on Monday-Wednesday.
Head coach Alan Bratton said match play is unlike stroke play in the sense that one guy can’t affect the team’s end result.
“Each player can only get you one point," Bratton said. "So it's different from stroke play events, where a low round from one particular player can clean up messes for his teammates. Each guy has to go head to head, and it's all about the desire, competing and the will to win, and I think our group has those characteristics that we're going to get to see.
