Oklahoma State took what some may consider a risk a while back and it's paying off now
The Elite 11 are meeting at the Nike Headquarters in Oregon this week and the Cowboys will have a representative there in the form of quarterback commit Nick Starkel, who has surprised some in recent months.
Starkel is the No. 24 pro-style quarterback in the 2016 class according to 24/7 sports but wasn't as highly regarded when the Cowboys offered him as OSU was his first power five offer.
"The coaches told me they didn't care how many stars I had or how many or which schools offered me, they wanted me," Starkel told Robert Allen of Scout.
