After ranking last in the Big 12 Conference Preseason Poll two seasons in a row, the Oklahoma State men's basketball team has moved up four spots this year.
The Big 12 coaches picked the Cowboys to finish sixth, the conference announced Thursday. This is their highest ranking since they were tied for first with Kansas in the 2013-14 preseason poll.
For the ninth consecutive year, the Jayhawks sit at the top of the standings. Kansas garnered eight first-place votes, and Baylor and Texas Tech each had one. No coach is allowed to vote for the team he coaches.
