Former blue-chip prospect and four-star standout Chris Black has announced he will transfer from the Crimson Tide program. Black redshirted his freshman year after suffering a shoulder injury and, after redshirting, spent two seasons as a rotational type player behind Amari Cooper, Christion Jones, and other talented Alabama receivers.
Due to the emergence of freshman phenom Calvin Ridley and Adarius Stewart this year, he was never able to translate his potential into meaningful production on the field. He underwent ankle surgery in November and effectively ended his career at Alabama.
God is closing one door and opening another for me in 2016 and I've decided to transfer!
