STILLWATER — Josh Holliday went to sleep Thursday night with one thought in his head.
Holy cow.
In 24 hours, the world changed with the rapid spread of the COVID-19 disease. The Big 12 Tournament was canceled. The NCAA canceled all winter championships and even took away spring championship tournaments.
Friday, things got worse.
Oklahoma State’s baseball season came to an abrupt end when the Big 12 announced that all spring sports were canceled.
“When there’s no World Series or NCAA championship, I don’t think the conferences stand to do anything different,” Holliday told The Oklahoman in a phone interview.
