There will be no reunion with Todd Monken in Stillwater.
Monken, Oklahoma State's offensive coordinator from 2011-12 and reported target again for the position after Mike Yurcich's move to Ohio State, was announced Monday as the Cleveland Browns' offensive coordinator. Monken had most recently served in the same role for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Monken orchestrated the Cowboys' offense during the 2011 Big 12 championship season, but even after losing Brandon Weeden and Justin Blackmon and enduring a quarterback carousel in 2012, OSU's offense was among the nation's best.
With Monken off the board, it's possible Mike Gundy's search for a replacement for Yurcich, who became the Buckeyes' passing game coordinator and quarterbacks coach, could accelerate.
