It didn’t start off well.
In fact, Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic started off pretty darn disastrous.
He wanted to start training camp in early May, he referred to it as the “Chinese virus” and was jeered by outlets ranging from the Washington Post to Last Week Tonight with John Oliver.
But Gundy righted the ship.
After OSU concluded its regular season with a 42-3 victory over Baylor, Gundy was able to reflect on how successful his measures were.
“We had the best plan of anybody for COVID from day one back in the spring,” Gundy said.
