LUBBOCK, Texas - Former Carl Albert star running back Dadrion Taylor’s transition to safety at Texas Tech appears to be going well.
The true freshman had a big day Saturday against Oklahoma State, recovering a fumble and finishing with three tackles in the 45-35 win against the Cowboys.
It led to a lot of praise from new coach Matt Wells for Taylor, whose nickname is “Rabbit.”
“Let’s talk about ‘Rabbit,” Wells said in postgame. “First of all, what a special deal for him being from Oklahoma, from a really good high school program - Carl Albert.
