The Big 12 baseball standings bring Bedlam appeal.
At the top: Oklahoma and Oklahoma State.
Or Oklahoma State and Oklahoma, depending on the preference.
Either way, seems like old times; albeit very old times.
The Cowboys and Sooners have been good at times during the Big 12 era, yet rarely conference-contender good in the same season. Yet as the two teams chug toward their Bedlam Series clash in two weeks, there’s a solid possibility of a high-stakes showdown when they collide in Tulsa and Oklahoma City.
And for Bedlam baseball fans longing for the good old days – the days of Pete Incaviglia and Bobby Witt, of Robin Ventura and Jack Armstrong, of Gary Ward and Enos Semore – well, here’s hope of a rivalry full-on renewed.
