Heritage Hall hopes to call itself “odd” this year.
Quite odd, in a good way.
Heritage Hall has won state golf championships in 2008, 2010, 2012 and 2014, finishing runner-up in the other years in between – the odd years. This season, with a consistently strong 1-through-5 lineup, the Chargers are out to buck the trend of winning only in even years, and got off to a solid start on Day 1 of the Class 4A boys state tournament at Lake Hefner’s North Course.
The defending champs are well on their way after taking a 17-stroke lead after two rounds on Monday.
