Two of the five finalists for the Cornish Trophy were Cowboys, including the winner.
Chuba Hubbard was awarded Cornish Trophy on Wednesday, an award given to the top Canadian player in college football. Hubbard becomes to first Oklahoma State player to ever win the award. OSU linebacker Amen Ogbongbemiga was also a finalist.
Hubbard received 19 of the 20 first-place votes with Notre Dame receiver Chase Claypool getting the other.
“It’s an honor to represent Canada, Alberta and my family in accepting this award, and acknowledging all the hard work I’ve put in,” Hubbard said in a release.
