Chuba Hubbard staying at OSU for junior season

STILLWATER — Canada’s Cowboy still belongs to Oklahoma State for another season.

OSU running back Chuba Hubbard posted a video on Twitter shortly after 5 p.m. Monday that gave the announcement Poke fans had been dying to hear for days.

“Returning. In. 2020,” the video message said.

And with that, OSU football excitement skyrocketed.

Hubbard led the nation in rushing yards with 2,094 and all-purpose yards with 2,334 in his redshirt sophomore season of 2019. The rushing total was the 18th-best in NCAA Division I history, and the second-best in OSU record books, behind only the 1988 season of Barry Sanders when he set the D-I record with 2,850 yards.
