Four-star South Garland guard Chris Harris Jr. has de-committed from Texas A&M following the firing of coach Billy Kennedy.
Harris was high school teammates with former OSU target and Kentucky commit Tyrese Maxey. The guard duo helped lead South Garland to a state semifinals appearance in 2018 before losing to Katy Tompkins. He was also named Newcomer of the Year for the DFW area by Inside High School Sports after averaging more than 19 points-per-game as a freshman.
The 6-foot-3 shooting guard signed with the Aggies back on November 14 during the early signing period but was granted a release from his NLI after the firing of Kennedy.
